Support Michael Lucke's Keith Jarrett Transcription Project
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Michael Lucke. I am a professional jazz transcriber and have spent the last 20 years building up a noteworthy and acclaimed catalog of transcriptions of some of the world's greatest jazz pianists, including Brad Mehldau, Herbie Hancock, Fred Hersch, and Keith Jarrett. Notably, I have completed two very large transcriptions from Keith Jarrett's album Sun Bear Concerts. They are entitled "Osaka, Part 1" and "Sapporo, Part 1." Each of them were over 40 minutes long and took several months to complete, and I'm thrilled with the results! I have uploaded scrolling videos of the transcriptions to YouTube, which can be viewed here:
The success and appreciation of this project has inspired my next endeavor: The first complete transcription of "Kyoto, Part 1" from The Sun Bear Concerts. A recording of this beautiful piece can be found here:
As this is a massive and challenging piece of work, I am looking to the jazz community and beyond to help support my efforts in bringing this project to fruition.
I will be offering the finished transcription as a free downloadable PDF for the general public, as well as uploading a scrolling video of the transcription to YouTube! I have started this GoFundMe to enable you to take part in funding this project. Any amount is helpful, but if you feel so inclined, I will send out PDFs of each section as I finish them to anyone that donates $50 or more!
Thank you so much!
