Michael Lawson, owner of Lawson Racing Engines, was in a terrible lawn mower racing accident in North Carolina on April 10. He was rushed by ambulance to the nearest trauma center in Wake Forest, NC, almost two hours away from his home in Virginia. Michael sustained very serious injuries, including many broken ribs, collapsed lungs, fractured vertebrae, and a fractured clavicle. The weekend was a rollercoaster for Michael and his family, but he fought the good fight and has come out on top. His lungs are draining now and he has been able to eat real meals, but he has a very long road ahead of him.

Michael is a great husband, the best father, an amazing grandpa, and a true friend to many. His wife Lisa is currently staying with him in North Carolina, while his family is traveling back and forth as much as they can. The length of his hospital stay is still unknown, but we do know that it will take time for him to get back on his feet. We are coming to you to ask that you all rally together to help Michael and his family out during their time of great need. Donations will help cover medical bills, fuel costs for the family to travel, food costs for Lisa while she stays with Michael, and everyday expenses as well.
