As many of you are probably aware, our good friend Michael Kozlowski was recently diagnosed with muscle invasive bladder cancer. He is facing this extremely unexpected diagnosis with strength, courage, and as positive an attitude as he can muster, but the road ahead is difficult and uncertain. It is challenging physically, emotionally, and financially.

Mike has always been a person willing to give to others, whether that’s with his time and talents, through financial support, or just being there when needed. He has helped and supported others his entire life and never expects anything in return. He’s just a good person, a great friend, loving father, and devoted husband.

He is also the type of person who struggles to ask for help, always thinking he can manage and that there is someone else who deserves it more. He’ll probably be a little upset when he sees this, but nobody should have to face thousands of dollars in bills when they should be focusing on fighting and healing. And now it’s our turn to help him.

As his friends who love him dearly, we’ve decided to start this gofundme for Mike, hoping we can at least ease some of the financial burden he is facing now and as he deals with this situation going forward. The stress of mounting bills is the last thing he should be worrying about while he and his wife, Christen, navigate doctor appointments, treatments, and surgeries.

Any money raised will go directly to Mike and Christen to help with the medical bills, time off work, daily expenses, costs to prepare for the uncertainty ahead, and whatever else they may need it for, so that they can focus on fighting (and winning) Mike’s battle against cancer.

There is no monetary “goal” for this campaign as there is really no way to know what will be needed over the next several months or more. Any amount you can afford to contribute is appreciated. We’d be grateful if you could share this campaign, as well.
