Support Michael in his fight to BEAT CANCER!

Michael Church is facing a tough battle right now, but if you know Church, you know that he will beat this. He is one tough dude that has a lot of fight in him!

He has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a stage 4 aggressive brain cancer. He has already had surgery at Wesley to remove the visible 5 cm x 3 cm tumor, but it is impossible to remove all the cells with malignancy. He will now be seeking treatment at MD Anderson in Houston, one of the top cancer hospitals in the world. He will start intense radiation and chemotherapy treatment right away. They are also hoping to participate in any new treatments and trials they offer to fight this disease.

We are not accepting the statistics of this disease and will not give in to the “what ifs.” The prognosis is no match for the fight he has in him as he plans to face it head-on and beat this awful disease. We are asking for your support of this sweet family as they begin this journey.

They will encounter many unknowns and expenses on this path, but most importantly, they are focused on faith over fear. We stand beside them on this. We may never know why terrible things happen to us, but we are focused on trusting in the Lord with all our hearts and not leaning on our own understanding. We know HE has plans for them. Plans to prosper and not harm, plans to give hope and a future. We believe the Lord is the great physician and HE can bring complete healing to Church's body.

We thank you for your prayers and ask that you continue to present healing requests to the Lord. Pray for strength physically and mentally, pray for removal of doubts/worry/anxiety, pray for the doctors that will guide them through the treatments, pray for complete healing of his body, and pray for sweet Kendric, their 8 year old son, as his heart navigates this process with them.

One thing is for sure through all of this; when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Church is not backing down from the fight. He is already saying this on repeat, “I’m gonna beat this”! Let’s join his fighting spirit and show our support!
