We are a middle-class family living in New York State. Both of us (Michael Doe’s parents) work two jobs to support our family. We are asking for support so we can continue to fight for justice to allow our 11 year old son who has a valid medical exemption to return to school.

The Williamsville School District should be ashamed of themselves. On 1/16/26 a Supreme Court Justice gave the district the green light to allow my son to return to school. My child returned for 3 days. Not only has the District filed an appeal, but they found a loop-hole in the state law and without needing any court order is able to bar him from school yet again. In other words, the District itself is choosing to not allow him back to school as they fight the Supreme Court decision.

Our son is up to date on ALL the required vaccines to attend school, but he is missing only a Tdap booster. His heath changed this past year, and it is no longer safe for him to receive the vaccine.

Lawyer fees are becoming too much on top of his medical bills, and we can only imagine the District wants us to get to the point of having no money to fight, as they have a seemingly endless budget from our community tax dollars.

We are hopeful that you choose to support this cause, help us pay the legal fees, and help us fight to get our son back into school where he belongs.
