On July 8, 2025, our dear friend, Michael Boni suffered a massive heart attack and stroke. Michael, though new to our area of Rochester, N.Y., has immersed himself into the community, volunteering at festivals, taking photographs of special events. In his personal life, Michael was very active in: walking, biking, mountaineering, and rock climbing.

His stroke has lead to multiple medical complications and he remains in the hospital without the ability to speak and with limited mobility and comprehension. His recovery is expected to be long and tiresome.

Michael, a Canadian citizen from Vancouver, made the decision that he loves the Western New York area, and two months ago, had all his belongings shipped to here. However, now it's turning out that neither Canadian Insurance or any USA based insurance is covering the cost of the hospital bills. The bigger concern is that rehab facilities only take recovery patients based on their ability to pay.

To assist Michael in recovery, Marianna has had to temporarily step away from performing, making the future increasingly unknown. Their time away from work and events is a huge loss to her and Mike, and our community at large.
