Dear friends and family,

We are writing to you on behalf of our father, Michael Aloe. He is in the hospital fighting an aggressive form of cancer. The cancer originated in his lungs and has metastasized to his spinal column. His spirit is strong but he has a long road ahead of him. One of the tumors on his spine has been removed and he is currently undergoing two types of chemotherapy and also radiation. Michael does have insurance but there are co-pays for hospital stays, treatments, transport between the facilities, medications, and co-pays for the rehab facility that he will eventually be transferred to once he is released from the hospital. Michael is retired and his income is inadequate to cover the expenses. Michael is a military veteran and a former police officer. He is a generous soul and has donated most of his time and resources to those in need. He won "The Veteran Of The Year Award" from Camp Freedom for his dedication to helping veterans.
