My BFF of 47 years, Kiersten Hedke, received her wings after a long battle with polycystic kidney disease. Kiersten's husband, Michael, had to take off from work to care for her full-time. After FMLA time ran out, Michael continued full-time care for Kiersten, losing his job. Kiersten had to retire early from Capital Area District Library due to health reasons.
