Support Micah's Recovery After Car Accident

Let me start by saying this is typically not something I would do - I definitely don’t like asking for help. But here we are in a rough spot and could really use it. As well as all the prayers.
6:40am I got a call from Micah’s dad that he hadn’t made it to work & if you know Micah, he is always early. I grabbed my keys and jumped in the car to go look for him. When he works in Kansas, he usually takes our highway all the way through Drexel to highway 69 (which I hate him doing because I think it’s dangerous). I headed that way in a complete panic and didn’t see anything. I called 911 to see if they knew of any accidents on AA between Adrian and Drexel and they said yes… I asked the dispatcher, please just tell me he’s okay!! She said she didn’t know and he was headed to Cass Regional and told me where the accident happened. It was only a mile from home. I just went the wrong direction and went the way he typically takes. I turned back around and headed the other way and came up on the tow truck lights and highway patrol. I seen his car and my heart sunk. I begged for them to tell me he was fine and again, they didn’t know. I made it to Cass Regional and there he was.
Micah said he had dropped his breakfast and looked down for a second and his tire had caught the edge of the road, he tried to correct it and just overcorrected, went across the other lane and hit the ditch and then flipped 3-4 times. He got out of the car and realized he couldn’t walk and crawled to the road to try and wave someone down for help.
What we do know… He has a broken back. He broke his L1 vertebrae. They have admitted him and are trying to come up with a plan. They are going to put him in a brace tomorrow and see how he tolerates it. He has been on bed rest. Once they put the brace on, they will sit him up and stand him up and do an X-ray. The pressure on the vertebrae will determine if he needs to stay in the brace for a couple months or if he needs surgery.
He has a blood clot in his back and lots of pulled muscles & tendons.
His imaging from his head and neck came back good! Thank god!
He will be out of work for at least the next few months. That is what he is stressed the most about. Life still goes on and we still have bills. Not to mention the extreme bills that will come rolling in from these hospitals. & he is also without a car now. We only had liability on his car, so that is a complete loss. I’m thankful to still have him here. Everything else is replaceable, he is not.
Any little bit helps & all of your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated.
