Support Micah's Journey Back from Internship

Hello, my name is Heather Andersen. I am creating this GoFundMe page to bring my son home from his internship job in Grand Junction, Colorado, as his vehicle has broken down and he has to bring a U-Haul home with his aviation tools in the first week of August. He is doing his internship in Grand Junction for Aviation Mechanics. Micah finished his first year in Aviation Mechanics with a GPA of 3.4. (Go Micah!) at Lake Technical College. He went to school full-time while working as a dishwasher/cook at a local Watertown restaurant. Micah's schooling was funded by the Dollars for Scholars Program, government loans/grants, and by working.

Micah has bills and rent due in Watertown, SD. He spent all last year going to school from 8 am to 5 pm and working from 6 pm to 10 pm with 2 days off each week. He went to this internship to learn more about his trade and put more money in his pocket. With this accident, he will not have any money left from his earnings to put him ahead for his schooling next year.

Micah took a drive on one of the trails in the mountains of Grand Junction and bottomed out his vehicle. He needs a transmission as well as an oil pan, as his was cracked in the accident. His car only had liability insurance, which paid for the tow to a local garage. Micah took a few days to tell me about his accident as he felt terrible about the damage to his vehicle and going on the unknown road he wrecked on.

The estimates for his transmission and oil pan are $3,000 to $5,000.00. Anything helps. Time is ticking as his internship ends the first week of August 2025. Please find it in your heart to give to Micah's page. He wants to purchase the transmission ASAP. The part is to be shipped to him, and he is going to try to do the work himself if he has to. The Lord has answered so many prayers for our family by giving Micah a co-worker who is helping him with rides to work and helping him with his car. Praise God!
