Help Me Travel to Italy for a Life-Changing Educational Experience!
Hi, my name is Micah Dixon, and I am a high school student with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Italy as part of an educational program at my school. I've always wanted to travel outside the country, and I have personally been fond of many works and cultural traditions Italy produces—from food to its art and music. This trip will not only allow me to experience the beauty of Italian culture firsthand, but it will also help me grow academically and personally into a more well-rounded person.
How This Trip Will Benefit Me
I have many interests and have been able to get involved with so many activities, including playing piano for the Advanced Jazz Band, playing basketball, singing in the Gospel Choir and co-chairing our Brooks Astronomy club. I see this opportunity as an extension of my learning experience that will broaden my understanding of history, language, and art. From visiting the ancient ruins of Rome and the Colosseum to seeing the masterpieces of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, this trip will immerse me in a culture that has shaped so much of our world today. It will also provide me with valuable skills like independence, problem-solving, and cultural awareness, which are essential as I prepare for college and beyond.
Why I Need Your Help
The total cost of the trip is $6,000, which includes airfare, accommodations, meals, and program fees. My parents plan to contribute as much as they can, but in a family of eight with a brother in college, we still need your help to make this dream a reality. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring me one step closer to experiencing Italy and all it has to offer.
