Help support Mia's path to independance

Donation protected

Hi,I'm Albert, this GoFundMe goal is set up for my daughter Mia.She is 16 years old, Mia has a muscle disease that doctors diagnosed as mitochondrial myothopy,Mia's arms, and wrists, are contracted, her strength is minimal, but believe me Mia's the strongest person I know,Mia's had many surgeries, from hamstring lengthening,to foot surgery along with ankle surgery ,and now looking into hand /wrists,and arm surgeries to make her life a bit easier as she get's older and more independent. My GoFundMe goal is to help support Mia with a power chair as she transitions as a senior in H.S and most importantly college,Mia really wants to go to college. We have an electric wheelchair for her now but she's outgrown it and it's too heavy and bulky as she wants to be more independent. Our biggest challenge is getting Mia a power chair that suits her well, and that can easily be transported with friends and family. After an extensive search we found the perfect wheelchair for Mia.Bailey Built Wheelchairs is the name of this company(pic attatched). Custom made for the individual, plus this powerchair can go on snow, sand, grass, and trails etc,so Mia can enjoy the little things one takes for granted, something Mia is limited to doing with her current wheelchair .This company is located in Wildomar Ca.My health insurance will not help cover this powerchair, their response to my submitted claim was DENIED:NOT A NECESSITY,(little do they know)",This powerchair will cost between $10K-$12K depending on the individual's personalized custom features and necessities,.We're hoping to place the order soon so that it can be ready within 6-8 weeks. We're saving up as much as we can,but along with other medical bills and life alone it's a challenge, but doable, so we are not discouraged, this is what brings me here asking for anyone that would like to help support the cause for Mia's powerchair to make her life a bit easier, more independent and help her pursue her dream in attending college to become a pediatrician,if you can't donate that's ok and understandable but if you can please take the time to share Mia's Path to Independence, that's all I ask and grateful for ,thank you for taking the time to read this,God Bless, please visit Baileybuiltwheelchairs.com and press "who we are" and watch a short video to see what this powerchair is all about and why we are so excited ty
