Those who know me know I have gone through so many unfortunate events throughout my life before even reaching 30 years old. I come from a dysfunctional family environment since a young age and have always experienced domestic abuse and financial trouble growing up. Those problems only worsened after my dad died suddenly when I was 15 years old. Since then, I have worked hard for every cent of money that has come my way.

In 2015, I graduated from high school despite all of the trauma and exhausting circumstances and have been determined to make a beautiful life for myself… and in 2022, I welcomed my first and only child into the world. I am trying my hardest to give my daughter a life I didn’t get to have. Mia has become such a bright ray of light in so many peoples’ lives since being born. She is now 3 years old and proving to be extremely smart, charismatic and gifted.

This past week, we toured Ocean State Montessori School preschool program. Mia was absolutely IN LOVE with this school and because it allows children to attend up until sixth grade, it is a place she can build a strong sense of community, familiarity and a love for learning… something I never had in my childhood. I have applied for tuition assistance already, but am still searching for different ways to raise more money for the tuition. Anything at this point would help IMMENSELY. I’ve never been one to ask for financial help, but this is one thing I am really trying to make happen for my daughter. Thank you for taking the time to read.
