Please Support Mia's Battle with Primary Peritoneal Cancer
Donation protected
On November 1, 2022, my only daughter Josephine (27), and myself have devoted ourselves to Mia's care. Mia has endured two and a half years of chemotherapy, major surgery, and numerous treatment side-effects. We are working to try and get her to remission. She is currently participating in a phase three clinical trial for the ADC drug Rina-S.
Primary Peritoneal Cancer (PPC) is exceedingly rare. It strikes 4/1,000,000 people and presents itself similar to ovarian or uterine cancer. Normal ovaries are covered with peritoneal cells. It is a very aggressive form of cancer with low survival rates.
Over the last 2 and a half years, we have ridden a roller coaster of emotion and exhausted our personal resources. We need help getting Mia the best care possible. I am a retired professor, and working three part-time jobs to do my part. I am Mia's principle care giver and this GoFundMe effort helps us tremendously. These funds go directly to Mia's treatment costs which are beyond insurance covergage. We will keep you updated of her progress and thank you ahead of time for your generous donations. We plan to reach our goal of $25,000 by 12/25.
