Support Miah's Journey to Anaheim

Hello! My name is Shamiah Ashlynn Moore. I am a 9-year-old A/B honor student in the 4th grade. I am currently taking gymnastics at Ultimate Gymnastics Academy in Myrtle Beach, SC. This is my very first year on a competitive level in the sport of gymnastics. My initial journey began in the recreational summer classes in June 2022. My coaches saw something in me that I didn't know was there and invited me over to the Pre-team that August of 2022. When the end-of-year showcase came around in June 2023, all of my hard work made it possible for me to skip over the next competitive level of Xcel Bronze and be placed into Xcel Silver, where of the 40 possible points to earn, I was able to secure 39.2 points giving me a FIRST place all around. I was super excited to be competing with the bigger girls!

I currently practice three days every week immediately following the school bell to go home. This is where twelve hours out of the week I can do the thing that I love the absolute most. Although my days start at 6:00 am and end at 7:30 pm on those days, I wouldn't change it for the world because it is my dream to get to compete on the world's greatest stage -- Olympic 2032.

This January, I will have one of my biggest competitions yet. I will have to travel to Anaheim, CA with the Xcel Silver team to compete against girls older than me from all across the United States of America. THE CALIFORNIA GRAND INVITATIONAL! If you would find it in your heart, please help me with my travel expenses to live out this part of my dream. Anything will help.
