Meya is the devoted mother of two young girls, ages 11 and 7. Her youngest daughter has special needs and requires constant care and attention. Recently, Meya suffered a terrible accident when she slipped and fell on the ice, resulting in a torn cornea. She had to undergo emergency surgery to repair the tear, and just a week later, she needed another surgery to drain blood that was causing her severe pain and putting dangerous strain on her retina.

Doctors have told us that Meya will need additional surgeries in the near future to continue repairing her eye, with the hope of regaining some of her vision. Right now, she is on strict restrictions—she cannot work, drive, or care for her children as she normally would. This has been incredibly hard on her and her family, especially since her youngest daughter needs around-the-clock special care.

The funds raised will go directly toward Meya’s mounting medical bills, daily living expenses, and any extra medical help she may need during her recovery.
