Support Mexican Miner Jaime Pulido's Fight for Justice
Donation protected
This GoFundMe is to support Jaime Pulido León, a mine worker at the Camino Rojo mine in the Mexican state of Zacatecas.
Jaime is a militant leader of the Los Mineros mineworkers’ union. A fake company union associated with criminal elements wants to take over. He has been beaten in front of his family and now death threats have driven him out of the mine, and out of Zacatecas. He is now in hiding.
La Jornada, October 2, 2024:
"The United Steelworkers (USW) union called on the governments of Mexico, the United States, and Canada to take urgent measures to protect the safety of Jaime Pulido León, a worker at the Camino Rojo mining company in Zacatecas.
"This mine, owned by the Canadian company Orla Mining, is under investigation under the USMCA's rapid labor response mechanism for alleged interference in union matters, as reported by workers from Section 335 of the Miners' Union."
Jaime is broke. He and his family are scraping by to take care of their basic needs. The Mexico Solidarity Project is asking that all who believe in justice consider making a financial contribution to this fund.
Thank you, and with solidarity.
