My beloved 10-year-old cat, Mewzi, suddenly started showing severe symptoms last week out of nowhere. She couldn’t walk, had to be carried to the litter box to pee and poop, and kept losing her balance like something was seriously wrong neurologically.
I rushed her to the vet immediately, the same clinic where I had already spent $2,450 just two weeks ago for her dental procedure. After examining her, they suspected a neurological issue and said she urgently needed an MRI.
I moved forward with the MRI because she’s my baby and she’s everything to me. The bill came out over $6,762.47 Just to figure out what’s going on.
I have never asked for financial help before. If you know me, you know that’s the last thing I would ever want to do. Living in San Francisco as a single woman working a non-tech job, I already struggle financially month to month. Situations like this are my biggest fear, and now I’m in one.
I never imagined I would write something like this. If you’re able to contribute $5 or anything at all, I would deeply appreciate it. And if you can’t donate, sharing this would mean just as much.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for keeping Mewzi in your thoughts
