Support Meredith's Brain Tumor Recovery
Donation protected
Our youngest sister, Meredith, began having multiple grand mal seizures on Sunday evening, February 2, 2025. Her husband, Dylan, was with her and did everything he could to keep her safe during the seizures. We truly believe he saved her life. She was unresponsive while being transported by ambulance to Spencer Hospital, where they discovered a mass in her brain. She was intubated and placed in a medically induced coma. She was then air-lifted to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Sanford has a renowned neurology department, and they quickly determined the mass was a low-grade brain tumor, which is believed to be non-cancerous. It was most likely growing for months or even years, and it finally got large enough that it irritated the brain, causing the seizures. The plan is to remove the tumor on Wednesday morning, February 5th at 9am.
Meredith is strong. She is a fighter. She's got the best personality, with an amazing sense of humor. She has the biggest heart, which is evident in her career as a nurse, as well as the work she does to rescue animals in need. We know she will get through this and return to the life that she loves.
Meredith will be out of work for an extended period of time, and when she doesn't work, she doesn't get paid. The medical bills are going to add up quickly, so we are setting up this GoFundMe to provide some financial support while she recovers.
If you would rather not donate through GoFundMe, you can Venmo her directly at @mcgm1017. You can also Venmo one of us and we will get it to her: @sarah_mcglynn128 or @Molly_Martin_2901 or @Zach-Thompson-1010 or @Betsy-McGlynn
Thank you for helping our sister. She gives so much to this world, and now it's our time to help her. We also welcome all positive thoughts and prayers sent her way!
