Hi, I'm Meredith, a trans femme person from Oxfordshire. I'm a keen parkrunner, lapsed swimmer, avid reader, and novice weaver.

I'm trying to scrape the money together to get bottom surgery to ease my dysphoria and have the body I've thought I should have since childhood.

I've been on the Tavistock GDC waiting list since July 2022, and I don't expect to be offered a first appointment before at least 2028. From what I've heard it could be another 2–3 years after that before I'm able to get surgery on the NHS, and I've realised I just can't wait that long.

I'm saving what I can, but the ever-rising cost of living and childcare has made it difficult, so I'd really appreciate any help that can be given.

Gender confirmation surgery privately in the UK is expensive. The surgery itself is £24k, plus the cost of referral and assessment appointments. I'm not looking to raise the full amount through donations, and expect to need to bridge the gap with credit.
