Support Meowmix's Emergency Procedure

It's me, Suzi, stray animal whisperer. This is Meowmix. He's been hanging around my house since late February. We've become big buddies when I'm outside. He stays in my camper on cool nights but sometimes he roams. Meowmix is one of the sweetest cats I've ever met. I believe he belonged to an elderly person who must have died but I have no idea.

Meowmix is at the vet. He had a botfly -- eek! -- that emerged on its own. And he waa doing great. That picture is from yesterday when he was king of the world on my fence post. But over night he kept scratching it, which he had been doing more, and egad. The vet could work him in and now he will have to have an emergency procedure because the area has an abscess. He will have to have a tube for seven days. I may have to board him because well...he likes to explore.

I can never see anyone or anything suffer. I especially have my grandmother's heart when it comes to cats and my mom's when it comes to dogs.

Any help appreciated as I already have a gaggle of pets. Meowmix was a surprise.
