Life has taken an incredibly difficult turn for Mendi and her husband John. A few months ago, Mendi was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer, requiring intense chemotherapy that forced her to leave her job.

Just days ago, tragedy struck again—John suffered a massive stroke and is now in critical condition in the ICU. His prognosis remains uncertain.
