Born in Japan and raised in Florida, Sam Masaru Sekoff was a beloved literary manager in Los Angeles, dedicated to uplifting underrepresented and marginalized artists. Left parentless at age 13 and placed in a group home, Sam grew up with his sister Sachi as his one steady tie to family—a bond that only deepened over the years. He worked tirelessly to build a life for himself, earning a scholarship to USC and creating a community that became his chosen family. Sam’s life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and the transformative power of education.

Sam adored his niece, Mena Shaver Sekoff, a bright, curious, and beautiful five-year-old. They shared countless adventures together, from exploring Japan to kayaking side by side. When Sam became a manager at 360, he started a college fund for Mena, determined to give her the opportunities he had to fight so hard for himself.
