Hi, my name is Memphis, and I’m only 23 years old. I never imagined I’d be in a position like this, asking for help, but recent events have completely changed my life.
Not long ago, I was involved in a car accident that left me with severe pain in my lower spine. I began physical therapy and stopped working, hoping things would improve. Instead, after two months, the pain only grew worse. An MRI and X-rays revealed shocking news: I have multiple herniated discs in my lower spine. The fluid from the discs is pressing on my sciatic nerve, causing constant and excruciating pain.
Because of this injury, I can no longer stand for more than 10 minutes without losing strength in my right leg and risking a fall. I was forced to leave my job, and daily tasks that most people take for granted have become overwhelming.
This situation has placed an enormous emotional and financial strain on my girlfriend and me. She has become our only source of income, working to cover groceries, our mortgage, and the growing list of medical expenses. Watching her carry this burden while I struggle physically has been incredibly difficult.
Doctors have told me that surgery is the only real solution. While the surgery itself is frightening, what scares me just as much is the cost, especially without health insurance. We’ve tried to hold off, selling personal belongings and doing everything we can to get by, but the pain continues to worsen. At this point, surgery is no longer optional; it’s necessary for me to regain my mobility and quality of life.
This fundraiser is meant to help ease the financial stress we’re facing so we can focus on what truly matters right now: healing and recovery. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward medical bills and basic living expenses during this difficult time.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or keeping us in your thoughts and prayers means more than you know. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
