Hi, my name is Merayah, and I’m starting this GoFundMe on behalf of our little family—me, my fiancé Gabe, and our two dogs, Melo and his sister Mini. If you know us, you know just how much we love our pets. They are truly our babies, and right now, our sweet boy Melo is fighting for his life.
Earlier this week, Melo had to undergo an emergency surgery to remove bladder stones after a painful and dangerous blockage. The procedure was meant to save his life—but even after surgery, a large stone remained lodged in his urethra, leaving him unable to urinate on his own.
Since then, Melo has been through multiple attempts under anesthesia to clear the blockage, but nothing has worked. He’s now hospitalized with a full catheter, a urine drainage bag, heavy medication, and constant monitoring. He’ll be staying through the weekend and likely into next week while the vets continue trying to save him.
This experience has been devastating—emotionally and financially. So far, his vet bills have totaled over $7,000, and the costs will keep rising with every additional day of hospitalization and care. We never imagined being in this position, and asking for help is incredibly hard—but we’re doing everything we can to bring Melo home.
If you’re able to donate, even a little, it would mean everything to us. Every dollar goes toward Melo’s medical care and recovery. If you’re not comfortable donating through GoFundMe, we completely understand—you can donate directly to the vet hospital caring for him:

We’re just two people trying to save our dog’s life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts—for reading, donating, or even just sharing. It all makes a difference.
With love and gratitude,
Merayah, Gabe, Melo & Mini
