Hi friends and family, it’s Melon Moon. This year has been a very mentally difficult year and then something I never thought would happen had happened.

On September 13th, I got hit by a car while I was scooting home around midnight. Unfortunately it was a hit and run, meaning that I did not receive any medical financial help from the one who hit me. Thankfully my partner was biking home with me. They called their family and 911 while I laid on the road, unconscious.

My skull was fractured and I had a contusion on the right side of my head. My blonde hair changed into the color red. I was passed out for 30 minutes to an hour and then woke up very confusion. I could not remember what had happened / could not say sentences correctly / could not remember words or memory / could not read or write. I was so dizzy. I had bruises everywhere. I was vomiting very much. Could not eat. Could not use the restroom easily. Could not look at lights or listen to sounds. Could not walk very well. I could not even cry. It was all so incredibly scary.

After tests / MRI scans / CT-scans and lots of meds and rest, I was out within 2 days and taken care of by family for a week, but then one day… I woke up in the middle of the night and had a seizure. I had to go back to the hospital all over again. Another 2-3 days. Thankfully they prescribed me anti-seizure medicine. They told me it was all normal.

I was diagnosed with TBI, Traumatic Brain Injury.

However, it is good news time now! I am in the mend and can speak / type / write / listen / hear / sleep / eat / walk / smile. I still cannot go back to work and have to rest a whole lot, but I am alive. I don’t know how I am alive, but I am so grateful that I am.

The reason I started this GoFundMe was because since I cannot work, samm and I are struggling to pay medical bills (over $7,000) / rent / electricity / internet / food / medicine. We are suffering deeply and need as much help as we can get. I am not the type of person to ask for money, but this is the one and only time I will ever need to. If there is any way you can donate even $1 or $5, that would help tremendously.
