Support Melody Nelson’s fight against lymphoma

On February 16, 2022, Melody was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma. It is an aggressive B-cell lymphoma that needs to be treated very aggressively. It has already been identified in her bone marrow, liver, spleen, colon, and uterus. She has already been off of work for a year, battling complications related to COVID. Her cancer treatment regimen will involve multiple aggressive chemotherapy treatments, blood and blood products, and multiple hospital stays/doctor’s visits, etc. Melody has been a Med/surg nurse for the past 8 years, and has been in healthcare for her whole career, starting at a very young age: caring for people is her passion and what she does best. She is a wonderful, loving, funny, caring individual, and is always the first one to help anyone in need. Melody would never ask for any help, so I am asking for her. Any donation, small or large, will help with medical bills, medication, transportation to and from KU, daily living expenses, gas money for family to help take care of her and anything else that she will need for her long journey.
