Hello, my name is Betsy, and I am creating this fundraiser for my best friend, Melody.

Melody is one of the most dedicated, kind, and caring people I know. She has devoted her life to teaching and helping others, always putting her students and family first. Now, she needs our help.

In September 2025, Melody began experiencing excruciating back pain that led her to the ER. After countless tests, scans, and biopsies, she received devastating news: she has stage 4 breast cancer (HER2+, ER+ low).

This diagnosis has turned her world upside down. Melody is a loving wife and the proud mother of a young son. Her greatest wish is to have more precious time with her family- her husband, who has been by her side every step of the way, and their little boy, who lights up her world.

Now she faces ongoing treatments, hospital stays, and the uncertainty of not being able to work. Along with the emotional toll, there are significant financial burdens, medical bills, treatments, and lost wages.

Melody has always been someone who gives selflessly, and now she needs her community to stand beside her. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping cover her medical expenses and easing the financial strain during this incredibly difficult time.
