Hi loves! Asking for help is never easy, especially for tough me, but I find myself needing to reach out as I weather the effects of my second total knee replacement surgery.
My first surgery was in September, and my second happened December 8th.
I had truly hoped to return to work as a hospice nurse for at least a month between the two surgeries to support myself, Percy and Paxton, as well as keep up with medical expenses!
Unfortunately, getting medical clearance to return to work took much longer than expected, and the process with Sedgwick left me with only a week & a half to earn income during that time, and our FAMLI support runs out Dec 15.
I’m feeling anxious about how I’ll make ends meet while I recover from this latest surgery. The funds raised here will go directly toward paying rent for January and February, covering medical bills, covering the cost of PT, and managing living expenses for myself and Paxton (and a small gift or two for my swimmy kiddo for Xmas & his birthday) until I can go back to work in January/February.
I know there are so many people in need in the Durango community and beyond (!), and I promise to pay it forward and support others once I’m back on my feet and working full-time again. Hopefully by January 30th!
Thank you ALL so much for your ongoing support—whether it’s a donation, a visit, a walk around the block, a walk for Percy or dropping off groceries or meal. Every bit of kindness means the world to us right now. Thank you for helping us get through this challenging time. I love you people!
