I never imagined I would be in a position where I had to ask for help publicly, but right now my family and I truly need it.
In August 2025, I was seriously injured while working. I was diagnosed with Cervical Radiculopathy & Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. Since that day, I have not been able to return to work. My injury is severe enough that I now have to undergo Anterior Cervical Spine surgery, and my doctors have made it very clear that recovery will take time.
Before my injury, I worked hard to support my family and handle my responsibilities on my own. Unfortunately, workers’ compensation income is only a portion of what I used to earn, and it simply hasn’t been enough to keep up with the cost of living, medical needs, and basic bills.
As the months have gone on, the financial strain has become overwhelming. We lost our home and my family and I are currently living out of a hotel. The daily cost of a room is extremely high, and most of what I receive goes directly to keeping a place for us to sleep. Because of this, I am now at risk of losing the few belongings we have left in storage!
We have tried everything I could think of before coming here — cutting expenses, seeking assistance programs, and stretching every dollar — but we have reached a point where we can’t do this alone anymore.
To be transparent, I created a survival budget while I recover from surgery. The funds will help cover:
• Temporary hotel housing during recovery
• Groceries for my family
•Medial recovery
• Storage so we do not lose our belongings
• Essential daily needs.
My goal is not long-term support — it is stability while I heal so I can return to work and provide for my family again.
