Hi, I’m Mellanie and I’m a film student at Texas State University! I’m directing my thesis short film called End Credits and my goal is to raise $1,200, by the beginning of November on this campaign, because this will help me fund for everything! Whether that’s catering for cast/crew or extra equipment and potential festival costs I need to make my film come to life! Anything helps and I’m thankful for anyone who donates, even if it’s $5 to $20, even if it’s not much, all that matters is knowing someone is out there supporting me and my project is enough!

Synopsis:

A talented pianist Brandon grapples with the devastating loss of his partner while preparing for a life-changing audition. As he navigates the depths of grief and the pressures of his career, Brandon must reconcile his passion for music with the haunting memories of love, ultimately discovering the healing power of art in the face of tragedy.

Why this film matters?

This film and subject matters to me because I know how it feels, to lose a part of you, to feel hopeless and not knowing how to deal with it. This short film is important because I want to show that it’s ok the feel lost, hopeless, and as someone who is queer I also wanted to share a piece of myself in the work I create and to tell stories that aren’t told enough in media. But I think the main reason is to express that it’s ok to want or find happiness again despite everything. You supporting and sharing will help me bring this to life! So, thank you!
