Support Melissa's Spiritual Journey in Elder Care

My name is Melissa La Sala, and I am deeply grateful that you are taking a moment to read my story.

My upbringing instilled within me an innate inclination toward caretaking. Raised in a multigenerational household where compassion and support were fundamental, I was profoundly influenced by my mother's dedicated work with the elderly.

In 2009, I started my own journey in senior care, initially serving as a recreational therapist in a nursing home. This role allowed me to engage residents in enriching activities, fostering companionship and mental stimulation.

Driven by a continued desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, I later transitioned into caregiving at a local home care agency. Here, I had the privilege of bringing joy and solace to individuals who would otherwise have been confined to their homes. In 2019, an opportunity arose to expand my impact as the Director of Operations for a home care agency on the Main Line, an offer which I enthusiastically embraced. This agency was sold during Covid. I currently work as a Care Manager for a home care agency in Pipersville.

In tandem with my professional journey, my interest in spirituality grew. In 2019, I officially embarked on my spiritual journey at Circle of Miracles, a revered spiritual community in New Britain.

During my career in eldercare, I discovered a passion for end-of-life care. I firmly believe that guiding individuals through the transition of death is both a privilege and an honor, offering solace and support to both the departing individual and their bereaved loved ones.

The School of Divine Ministry will leave me with a profound understanding of spirituality, enriching my personal and professional endeavors.
