Support Melissa’s Recovery

My sister-in-law Melissa was recently diagnosed with early stage ovarian cancer. On May 1st, she underwent an open full hysterectomy. While the surgery went well, she’s faced some minor complications during her recovery. Since her operation, Melissa has been out on leave from work, which has added financial stress to an already challenging time. My brother Ricky has also been taking time off work to care for her, and it’s clear to everyone who knows them that Melissa is his everything. Their love and support for each other is truly inspiring, and seeing them together is a reminder of what real partnership looks like.

Melissa is much more than a sister-in-law to me—she’s the heart of our family and someone I consider a true sister.
