Support Melissa's Recovery from Brown Recluse Bite & Sepsis
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I’m asking for your help for my cousin, Melissa, who’s not just family but my best friend since we were kids. Melissa is one of the most fun, outgoing people I know—she’s always the one making everyone laugh and lifting spirits. Even now, after everything she’s been through, she’s still smiling and staying upbeat.
Nine days ago, she was bitten on the arm by a brown recluse spider and quickly became septic, leading to two emergency surgeries. She’s been in the hospital since March 2, 2025, fighting sepsis and a staph infection with strong antibiotics, a wound vac machine, and a blood filtration system to fight the blood infection. Once she’s released, she’ll need home healthcare and physical therapy to recover. The medical bills are overwhelming, and being unable to work has added even more stress.
Any donation, no matter how small, would help cover her expenses and give her a chance to heal without the financial worry. Thank you so much for your support.
