Hey everyone, my name is Dawn and I am a longtime friend of Melissa. As many of you know, she has had a string of bad luck. It started with her having Covid, which resulted in a Crohn's flare, and ultimately caused her to have a stroke. The Crohn's flare became so severe that she almost lost her colon. She also has learned she has cirrhosis of the liver as a result of Crohn's. She has spent the last 3 weeks in the hospital and is now at Knoxville Rehabilitation hospital where she will stay for a few weeks. She is learning to walk and use her body like she used to.
