Melissa has always been the heart of our community, caring for our children with endless patience and love. Recently, she was diagnosed with Renal cell carcinoma, a diagnosis that turned her world upside down. She had to undergo surgery to remove one of her kidneys, and her recovery will be long and challenging. As a self-employed daycare provider, Melissa will be out of work for an extended period, facing not only the physical and emotional toll of her illness but also the financial strain of being without an income.
