My Aunt, Melissa Brownfield, recently had an accident at home. As she was walking through the house, her baby, Cyrus, caused her to trip and she fell hard. That fall resulted in a broken hip, surgery, and about a week’s stay at Memorial. She is home now. She is currently in physical therapy and finding ways to navigate using a walker. She is unable to drive or return to work. For what length of time, we are not sure yet. She also cares for her brother, who has lived with her for many years.

Being out of work and immobile has caused some hardship for her. The bills still come in, and any assistance I know she would greatly appreciate. Those that know Melissa know that she is a quirky, vibrant person who doesn’t like to stay idle very long. Over the years she has done her part in helping people including myself and son. She doesn’t hate she loves. Let’s show her a little love and help her out! Again, thank you to anyone that can help.
