My name is Melissa. I was recently diagnosed with a Pituitary Gland tumor, which I had removed on Monday, the 10th of February. I have now been diagnosed with Acromegaly. As far as I understand, I will battle this for the rest of my life. I will need hormone replacement therapy to do the job my Pituitary Gland can no longer do. I am not familiar with this process; however, I have heard from a few independent people that it is time-consuming to get approved and expensive even when you do.

I am a hard-working, single mom to two beautiful daughters. This has been an unexpected setback in our lives and appears it will be our new normal. This will help us transition to our new normal.
