Help Melissa Rebuild After a Mini-Stroke and Chronic Illness
Hello, my sister Melissa needs our help, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times of her life. She recently suffered a mini-stroke that has left her even more vulnerable while living with a debilitating chronic illness called POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome).
For those unfamiliar, POTS is a complex disorder of the autonomic nervous system that makes simple daily tasks incredibly hard—sometimes even impossible. Standing, walking, or even getting out of bed can cause heart rate to skyrocket, lead to fainting, dizziness, and extreme fatigue. This condition alone has prevented her from working for quite some time, and now—after the stroke—her health is even more fragile.
To make things harder, her medical expenses have completely drained her savings. She's lost almost everything, just trying to stay alive. She is currently in urgent need of maintaining stable housing near the cancer center, where she receives ongoing care and treatment. Without a safe place to stay close to her doctors, managing her health becomes not just difficult—but dangerous.
This isn’t easy to share, and it’s even harder to ask—but we need help. If you’re able, please consider donating to help maintain housing, afford basic necessities, and continued medical care. Even the smallest gift makes a difference, and if you can't give, sharing this with your friends and family would mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion, your support, and your time. We are holding on with hope, and your kindness is helping my sister keep going.
Blessings,
Corin
