For anyone who knows Melissa, you know her vibrant spirit and the care she puts into everything she does. As a talented hairstylist, she has dedicated her career to making others feel beautiful and confident. Now, she needs our help.

On December 2nd, our family's world was turned upside down when Melissa was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The shock was immediate, and so was the response. Within 24 hours, she was admitted to the hospital to begin an intense seven-day round of chemotherapy.

Melissa is now facing a long road to recovery that will require her to be in the hospital for several more weeks, followed by a long healing period at home. This sudden and serious diagnosis has meant she has had to stop working completely, with no return date in sight. As a self-employed hairstylist, Melissa has no access to paid leave. The income she relies on has disappeared overnight, but her living expenses and now, significant medical bills, have not.

The funds we raise will go directly to helping her with monthly living expenses (utilities, groceries), uncovered medical bills and associated needs, and providing a window of financial peace so she can focus 100% on her recovery and healing, without the stress of financial strain.
