Support Melissa’s Fight Against Brain Cancer

Update: Sadly, our sweet angel, Melissa passed away on 05/07/2025 at 12:01am. We are STILL ACCEPTING DONATIONS. Our son-in-law, Adam, is still on family leave and they still have a lot of medical bills, mortgage payments, utilities, and living expenses to pay for.  Hello Everyone,

My name is Debra (aka Gommy) and I am writing this for our daughter, Melissa, and family. On February 6, 2025, she woke up with a terrible headache. After 24 hours in pain, she went to the local urgent care and was told to go to the emergency room. They did a CT scan and then transported her to another hospital. On Saturday morning, an MRI was done. The MRI showed a brain tumor, and she underwent brain surgery on Sunday, February 9th. The pathology report revealed that it is glioblastoma grade 4, which is very aggressive.

The family does not have medical insurance. Her husband, Adam, has taken an unpaid family leave from work so he can be with her during her upcoming treatments of chemo and radiation. He has been by her side through all of this.

Melissa was previously a teacher at Mother’s Day Out and loves children. She is currently a Disney travel planner and has had to take a step back from that.

Melissa and Adam have two daughters, Madi and Ellie, who are 12 and 8.

This news was so sudden and shocking, but we absolutely believe in miracles and ask that you pray for healing, for comfort, and for peace as we all go through this journey together.

The funds will go toward medical bills and living expenses.
