- Melissa has spent her life serving others. She proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and later dedicated her career to caring for people as a nurse at Alvarado Hospital in San Diego. For years, she has been the person patients and familites relied on during their most difficult moments.
Now Melissa is facing the fight of her life.
She has been diagnosed with stage four cancer, after already battling cancer before. Despite everything she has endured, she continues to face this challenge with courage and determination. Those who know Melissa know her heart is strong and her spirit is resilient.
Whlle she is receiving care through traditional medicine, Melissa is also hoping to pursue additional treatments that may help extend and improve her quality of life. Unfortunately, many of these promising therapies are not covered by insurance, leaving significant financial barriers during an already overwhelming time.
