Support Melissa’s Stage 3 Metastatic Cancer Fight

Dear Family and Friends,

We are coming together to rally behind our loving mother, Melissa Strickler, who is facing the challenges of reoccurring breast cancer. As many of you know, Melissa was diagnosed in May of 2022 with Stage 2 Invasive Lobular and Ductal Carcinoma. She underwent a bilateral double mastectomy with partial reconstruction. After surgery, all tests came back cancer free and no other treatment was necessary at that time. Flash forward to September 2023, a lump under her arm was biopsied and came back cancer positive. She is now Stage 3 Metastatic Cancer since it has spread to her lymphatic system. On November 27th 2023, the cancerous lymph node and many more were removed following another complete double mastectomy of the partial reconstruction of her breastbone on November 30th. Our hearts are truly broken. She is now faced with a long treatment plan consisting of 40-60 rounds of Radiation and Chemotherapy to follow. As you can imagine, she has a long road ahead of her in her early 49 years of life. With many treatments and procedures ahead, expenses are mounting. Medical expenses, inability to work, travel to treatments, and other expenses during this time will be a heavy burden. This is not a fight she can fight alone.
