Support Melissa's Battle Against Neurological Lyme

On May 15th Melissa suffered a medical emergency. What started with a pain in her head, turned into losing her ability to speak, move her arms and legs as well as the ability to close her eyes. After 7 hours she gained her speech and some strength back and the ability to close her eyes. After 20 hours in the ER with no answers, she was sent home. After over 24 hours she continued to have episodes of this. These could continue without proper treatment.

She has battled chronic Lyme disease for over 5 years with little reprievement of her symptoms. She will now need IV treatments for neurological Lyme disease. What most people don’t realize is health insurance does not cover Lyme treatment or appointments for Lyme specialists. Each IV treatment is $1000 out of pocket!!! She will need several treatments.
