As some of you may or may not know, a dear friend of mine, Melissa Tinsley, had back surgery on January 6th, 2025. She stayed for 2 days in Nashville at the hospital. She had swelling and pain for weeks following her surgery, however the surgeon told her that was normal.
On February 12th, she had excruciating pain and went to the ER and had X-rays done. What was supposed to be a relatively normal surgery turned into a fractured pelvis in 3 different places from an unknown source, requiring another surgery. The original surgeon sent her to an orthopedic surgeon in Clarksville. The surgeon who she went to for these fractures said these were very severe fractures and looked like fractures from a serious car accident.
On February 27th, she had another surgery requiring pins in her pelvis to hopefully fix the fractures. She stayed overnight in Clarksville and immediately went to Livingston County Hospital for rehab as she was non-weight bearing. On March 13th, she had issues with her most recent surgical site becoming infected and putting her back in the hospital running a fever. She was then transferred back to the hospital in Clarksville on March 19th, where she had her most recent surgery and they placed a drain.
She has been off work since January 6th and her sweet husband, Jason, has also been off work for some of that time being her support system. I have personally known Melissa & Jason for around 4 years now and I can tell you, you will never find a more thoughtful and loving friend in your life than them. They would give anyone the shirt off their back, no questions asked, nothing in return, and do it behind closed doors so nobody would know that person was struggling. They are the most genuine and loving people I know. They are hard workers and honest people. They would never ask anyone for money so I’m making this for them.
Any thoughts, prayers, donations, and shares will be highly appreciated and will 100% be going to them. We’re hoping this will at least take some of the financial stress off of them so she’s able to worry about resting and healing rather than bills. I know times are tough for everyone right now so the smallest donation would mean a lot to me and I know it would mean a lot to them. Thank you. ❤️
