My mom, Melissa Scott, was just diagnosed with Chondrosarcoma in her hip. This is a cancer that is surrounding the bone around her hip which will result in a hip and partial pelvic reconstruction. Luckily, there is a good outlook for recovery but the financial strain is very real. She will have to have her surgery done at the Duke Cancer Center at Duke University and remain at the center for a couple weeks after the surgery.

I wanted to start this page as a way to help my parents with the financial hardships brought about by the cancer. Any donation is greatly appreciated as it goes to supporting an amazing woman during her time of need. If you know her, Melissa Scott is an amazingly caring woman who is always ready to help and support anyone. She has taken care of everyone else and now it's time for us to take care of her.
