Hello, my name is Jessie, and I’m reaching out to you today on behalf of my sister, Melissa Mims. She has been recently diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. This aggressive form of cancer has unfortunately spread to her lymph nodes, requiring extensive treatment, including chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation which may take a whole year to complete.

Melissa is a dedicated employee at Cabela's, who has been wonderfully supportive during this initial phase. However, she will likely need to take medical leave of absence, which will significantly impact her only source of income. While Melissa has insurance, many crucial treatments and medications are not covered, co-pays, deductibles and of course her monthly expenses will quickly accumulate, creating a significant financial burden for her single-income household.
