My name is Erin. I’m a friend, a colleague, and someone who adores Melissa Mashburn.

In late December, just before Christmas, Melissa got news that no one ever wants to hear: she has a brain tumor. Since then, she and her husband, Matt, have been facing test after test, scan after scan, and countless trips to Houston, all leading up to a craniotomy scheduled for late February or early March.

It’s a lot to process—and the truth is, insurance doesn’t cover it all. Medical bills, travel, specialists, and surgery are mounting fast. This is real, and it’s happening to someone who spends her life pouring into others through Ministry Chick Network. Melissa coaches and helps women in ministry, while Matt serves as an Operations Pastor.

Scripture reminds us that we are not meant to walk through seasons like this alone: “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
