Melissa Clark is my close friend, and she has always been someone who gives her heart to others. As a hospice nurse, Melissa has spent years caring for people in their most vulnerable moments, offering comfort and compassion when it’s needed most. Now, she is facing her own battle with cancer and preparing to go through a new type of treatment. Her strength and faith have been an inspiration to everyone around her.

Because of her treatment, Melissa has not been able to work for almost a year. Her wife, Paula, who is a midwife, has also had to take time off to travel with Melissa and take her to appointments. Together, they have dedicated so much of their lives to helping others and serving the community. Now, they are in need of support themselves, as medical bills and household expenses continue to add up.

Through this whole process, Paula has been a constant source of support for Melissa, and Melissa has given her strength to make the rest of us feel hopeful that this next set of treatments will be exactly what will heal her. Melissa has been praising God for getting her this far and is praying for continued grace and healing.
