Support Melissa Byers' Critical Surgeries and Recovery

Hello, my name is Melissa Byers. I’m a 40-year-old MS warrior that needs to have surgery, not just one, but two big surgeries. I posted pictures of both the surgeries that need to be done. The pictures explain both surgeries in detail. They will be done at the same time. However, healing is going to take more time due to the MS. I will also need physical therapy to regain range of motion and strength in both my neck and elbow.

I am a self-employed hairstylist and nail tech. I have business and personal bills that won’t stop while I’m out of work during this time. I also will not be making any money during this time either. This is why I’m desperately reaching out for help (which I normally don’t do). I’m also currently suffering with my epilepsy and having seizures, causing me to miss work, which again, means I make no money. I just don’t want to lose my business that I’ve built from the ground up by myself, and it’s been very successful for a solid 10 years. I’m so proud!

My clients are literally my biggest supporters during the good, bad, and the ugly! Some clients have witnessed my panic attacks, my MS causing me to throw and drop things, and seizures. They have been here for all of it, which I’m so grateful for! I’m seriously trying my best to work as much as possible before surgery, but I’m struggling. Literally any donation would be greatly appreciated. I don’t like to ask for help as I’m super independent, but I honestly don’t have any other choice at this point. I’m in a terrible position and could potentially lose everything I’ve worked so hard for. I’m literally praying until I have no more words to say. Please note that the surgery date has not been determined yet. I have to have tests done before I can have the surgeries. Once I know dates I will update. Surgeon wants everything done with rush so I’m hoping within the next week I should have surgery scheduled. Either way I’ll let you know.
